Severe weather unlikely today, but not impossible
Despite not many storms forming across our area last night. The surface low responsible for them is still likely to cross Michiana this morning, bringing in very windy conditions and light snowfall later this morning and early afternoon. Plan on sustained winds anywhere from 15-25 MPH with gusts possibly exceeding 40 MPH at times today. Our window for snow today is contained to only a few hours, but the cooldown associated with the snow lasts several days. Highs stick around 40F today and shrink into the low 30s this weekend. The more significant chance for snow is Saturday night through Sunday with accumulating snow likely for northern Michiana. Snow showers likely linger into early Monday morning as highs struggle to make it past freezing.
Today: AM snow/windy. High 40.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy. Low 28.
Saturday: Overcast. High 34.
Sunday: Snow showers. High 31.
