South Bend Community Police Review Board met Thursday night
Winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories in northern Michiana are still in effect for multiple counties today through early Friday morning with the biggest concerns being road conditions, visibility, and wind chills near or below zero. This morning, slick roads and visibility than a mile will be common; plan on giving yourself extra time on the road if you are north of US-30. Highs climb to the upper 20s, but sustained winds of 20-30 mph will bring wind chills to the teens and single digits throughout today. Lake effect snow gradually tapers off through tonight, but the southern Michigan counties could see anywhere from 4 to 6 inches by early Friday morning. Tomorrow will be much quieter and a bit sunnier, but still cold with high temperatures well below freezing. Our weekend trends in a more mild direction with highs in the 30s and increasing sunshine.
Today: Wind/snow. High 29.
Tonight: Wind/snow showers. Low 18.
Friday: Partly cloudy. High 27.
Saturday: Mostly sunny. High 36.
