What to do when you spot a bunny nest in the wild

The Heartland Small Animal Rescue in South Bend posted to Facebook on Saturday advice on what to do when you spot a bunny nest in the wild.

With spring coming, bunny nests will appear and may look abandoned but this is not the case.

The mother visits the nest at dawn and dusk to care for the bunnies. If she stays around it will draw unwanted attention to the nest.

The organization advises to not disturb the nest and to call your local animal control who can connect you to a proper rehab center if the animals are injured.
