If you don’t have any plans for lunch, Westside Wednesday is hosting an event Wednesday afternoon.
West Wednesday is a lunch club where people can mingle, network and try a new place. The group focuses on trying new locations to show the different variety of dining options the West Side has to offer.
This month they’re at Los Humildes Mexican restaurant from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. They’re one of two Latino sports bars in Michiana.
CDFI Friendly Executive Director Sam Centellas says it’s a great way for people to get reconnected to the west side.
“One of the ways we describe the West Side is that it’s been a cultural neighborhood from its inception. It was originally highly Polish, now highly Latino. But it’s always been a diverse neighborhood of all different types of businesses that really kind of get overlooked in the community because it’s west of town, people don’t always hear about it and so we always like to help advertise it,” Centellas said.
