Westbound lanes of U.S. 31 Bypass blocked due to crash

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- According to the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department, as of 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the westbound lanes of the U.S. 31 Bypass are currently blocked, but not closed, due to a crash.
Authorities say drivers heading west are encouraged to get off around Elm Road or Bremen Highway and get back on the bypass at Michigan Stret.
The crash happened around 4:30 p.m. just east of the bridge over Miami Road. At least one individual involved in the crash was given CPR.
