UPDATE: South Shore Lines PTC issues resovled

UPDATE: The South Shore Lines announced that previous PTC issues have been resolved. Westbound Train 224 is canceled today, May 22.

Train 126 will run on regular schedule making all scheduled stops and Train 126 is expected to arrive at the Miller station at 3: 56 p.m.

"We thank passengers for their patience," the company said.

ORIGINAL: SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Shore Lines is having a problem with its Positive Train Control system, and it is causing issues with multiple trains.

"Due to a Positive Train Control outage, passengers please expect significant delays as teams continue to address the situation to restore PTC," the company said. "Current trains in operation are delayed 45-60 minutes, and future trains may be delayed departing stations or canceled."

The following trains have been cancelled: 

  • Westbound Train 120
  • Eastbound Train 109
  • Westbound Train 220
