UPDATE: According to the Warsaw Police Department, the pedestrian, identified as 48-year-old David Gwaltney of Albion, was walking west on a marked crosswalk around 6:30 a.m. He was then struck by a 63-year-old driver from Plymouth headed south in a Cadillac. Gwaltney was pronounced dead at the scene.

ORIGINAL STORY: WARSAW, Ind, -- The Warsaw Police Department is responding to a vehicle vs pedestrian crash. The public is asked to avoid Zimmer Road and Zimmer Lane Adjacent to Zimmer/Biomet. 

Emergency crews are on the scene , and an investigation is in progress.  There is very limited information at this time and will update as more informatio becomes available.
