UPDATE: Court documents reveal Earl Myers has now been sentenced to 40 years in prison for Child Molesting and 8 years in prison for Child Molesting (Fondling).

Myers must also pay $1,000 in fees/penalties including $100 towards child abuse prevention and $511 towards sexual assault victim assistance.

ORIGINAL STORY: WARSAW, Ind. -- On July 31, 2024, the Warsaw Police Department responded to a report of sexual misconduct with a minor.

The suspect, 50-year-old Earl Myers, was said to have touched the victim inappropriately on several occasions. When authorities later interviewed Myers, he denied any wrongdoing.

Myers was found guilty during his jury trial of two counts of Child Molesting.

Myers is set to be sentenced on Sept. 4.
