UPDATE: One person has been detained in the shooting in the 800 block of W. Laurel Woods Court at Laurel Woods Apartments on Monday night, according to the South Bend Police Department. 

SPBD says a female victim is in the hospital and they did not have any updated information on her status. 

The investigation is being handled by the South Bend Police Department's violent crimes unit.

ORIGINAL STORY: ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. — The South Bend Police Department and the St. Joseph County Police Department are investigating a shots-fired call in the 800 block of W. Laurel Woods Court around 11:15 p.m. Monday.

St. Joseph County dispatch supervisors confirmed to ABC57 that one victim was located at the scene before being transported.

The extent of the victim's injuries have yet to be released, but the scene is clear as of 4 a.m.

The investigation is ongoing. ABC57 News will provide updates as more information becomes available.
