NILES, Mich. -- The St. Joseph County (Indiana) Police Department reports a man wanted in St. Joseph County for failing to appear on four felony warrants related to theft charges was located and arrested in Niles Tuesday.

Police identified the wanted man as 48-year-old Jeffrey Davis, who was also wanted out of Berrien County for Possession of Cocaine.

The SJCPD Warrants Division, with help from the U.S. Marshals Service, Niles Police Department, and the Berrien County Sheriff's Office, found Davis hiding in the basement of a residence in the 500 block of 6th Street.

The report states Davis was taken into custody without incident before being taken to Berrien County Jail.
