Wanted man arrested for intimidation, drug, and traffic charges

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County Police Department announced their warrants team located a wanted man in the 600 block of E. Indiana Avenue in South Bend Tuesday morning.
Police say 46-year-old Willie Alsanders was found hiding in the attic of the residence.
Alsanders was wanted for Intimidation, two counts of Operating a Vehicle as a Habitual Traffic Violator, and Possession of Marijuana.
The report states Alsanders is also a non-compliant sex offender, which remains an ongoing investigation.
The intimidation charge stems from a Nov. 10, 2024, incident according to court documents.
Documents state officers responded to the home of a couple, who told police Alsanders had threatened them.
The husband showed police messages that Alsanders had sent which indicated he would damage the couple's vehicles.
Police say Alsanders then called the couple while authorities were on scene. Officers say they overheard Aslanders say he was on the way to the couple's home to fight.
