Happy new year! All of the system rain and snow has wrapped up. But as the surface low treks east towards the coast, backend winds will help lake effect snow showers develop late this morning, lasting through the middle of the day. Snow showers mainly stay north of US-30, but a flurry could trickle into Kosciusko County later. Highs are much chillier than the past several days, landing just around freezing today. The area is quiet most of tomorrow, but snow showers develop late Thursday night and last into early Friday morning before most are awake. Temperatures steadily decline through the weekend into the 20s. We continue to follow a potential winter storm early next week, although at this point models could shift the track even further south of Michiana.
Today: Lake effect snow showers. High 32.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy. Low 24.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy. High 30.
Friday: AM flurries. High 25.
