WAKARUSA, Ind. -- The organizers of the Wakarusa Maple Syrup Festival are warning community members of scammers impersonating festival officials.

Organizers say if you're interested in being a vendor, contact the Wakarusa Chamber of Commerce directly at [email protected].

Organizers stated in a social media post, "It is unfortunate that we have to share this information, but we are working diligently to resolve the situation. Please do not pay in advance before reaching out to the Wakarusa Chamber of Commerce."

Fest officials noted that although all vendor spaces have been filled, there is a waiting list for those who wish to be added.

The Wakarusa Maple Syrup Festival is scheduled for April 24, 25, and 26 at 100 W. Waterford St. in Wakarusa.
