Van Buren deputies investigating breaking and entering in marijuana facilities
VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. - The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating reports of individuals breaking into two different marijuana facilities Monday morning and stealing products from one of them.
The first alarm was reported just after 3 a.m. at Higher Breed in Breedsville. Deputies investigating the incident discovered security within the store prevented the suspects from stealing any products.
A second break-in was reported just after 3:30 a.m. on the other side of the county, where deputies learned the suspects took items from the Canna 43 facility on County Road 653, according to police reports.
Video evidence from the two scenes determined the same three suspects broke into both buildings. The suspects were seen wearing long pants, hoodies, hats, gloves and masks.
The suspect vehicle is described as a black, late-model Jeep Compass with a Michigan license plate, though the plate number couldn’t be read.
