SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The US Department of Agriculture sent out a follow-up memorandum to all Regional SNAP Directors regarding guidance on Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits and administrative expenses for November.

USDA officials say due to the limited availability of federal funding and orders from two federal courts, the Food and Nutrition Service is reducing SNAP maximum allotments to 50 percent of eligible households' current November allotment.

This follow-up comes after the initial guidance from Oct. 10.
