Two Michiana Pier 1 stores to close

Two Pier 1 Imports stores in Michiana have started their clearance sales as the company prepares to close the stores.

Last week, the company announced they would be closing approximately 450 of their 942 stores.

The stores in Goshen and Warsaw are scheduled to close, but a final date has not been released.

Pier 1 is also closing some distribution centers and will lay off corporate employees as the company struggles from competition from big box stores and online retailers.
