Riley High School Innovation Fair showcases student problem solving
MISHAWAKA, Ind. – Twin Branch Park in Mishawaka had a more than one-million-dollar project to revamp the park.
This project has been in the making for nearly five years.
The project included:
- A new restroom
- Concrete cornholes
- Ping pong tables
- A new pavilion
- A pickle ball court
“We had to get creative about how we fund our park projects, in particular our neighborhood park projects. They don’t have a typical funding source so what we did, we created a new, neighborhood park funding source in our budget. It’s $250,000 a year and we will hit one park then move on to the next,” said Mayor Dave Wood.
