Tulips are blooming in Holland, Michigan. Here’s how to see them
HOLLAND, Mich.—Tulips have returned to Holland, Michigan!
The Tulip Time Festival runs from May 1 through May 9 this year at various locations in downtown Holland with a few changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since 1929, the festival has brought visitors from all over to Holland to experience the beauty of hundreds of thousands of tulips.
Some of this year’s events include a virtual visit with Princess Lida, walking tours, a carnival, a Dutch costume exhibit and market, and more.
Tulips have already bloomed throughout Holland and their vibrant colors can be seen in public parks, at local attractions and lining the streets.
The festival has created a “Tulip Tracker” that provides live video of some of the locations.
While no tickets are necessary to visit Holland for the nine-day celebration, some individual festival activities do require tickets or registration.
Because of the pandemic, the festival is limiting the number of guests by using timed ticketing for events and exhibits, requiring the use of face masks or shields, implementing social distancing, offering hand sanitizing stations and offering designated times more high-risk visitors.
