Transpo detours for Saturday's Sunburst Race

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The South Bend Public Transportation Corporation (Transpo) announced detours will be in place on Saturday, June 1, due to the Sunburst Race taking place.

Transpo officials encourage riders to review the detours in advance to plan their travel accordingly.

The detours will be in place from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

#7 Outbound - From Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard buses will turn right on LaSalle Avenue, left on Notre Dame Avenue, right on Campeau Street, left on Eddy Street, stay on SR 23, and turn left on Twyckenham Drive to resume the regular route. Buses will bypass Library Circle, pick up at the stop sign, continue on Leahy Drive, right on Holy Cross Drive, left on Joyce Drive, and left on Angela Boulevard to resume the regular route.

#7 Inbound - Buses will bypass Library Circle, pick up at the stop sign, continue on Leahy Drive, right on Holy Cross Drive, left on Joyce, left on Angela Boulevard, right on Twyckenham Drive, right on SR 23 to Eddy Street, right on Sorin Street, and left on Notre Dame Avenue to resume the regular route.

#9 Outbound - From Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, buses will turn right on LaSalle Avenue and right on Eddy Street to resume the regular route.

#9 Inbound - From Eddy Street, buses will turn left on LaSalle Avenue and left on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to resume the regular route.

#13 Outbound - From Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, buses will turn right on LaSalle, left on Notre Dame, right on Campeau, left on Eddy Street, and right on Corby Boulevard to resume the regular route.

#13 Inbound - From Corby Boulevard, buses will turn left on Eddy Street, right on LaSalle Avenue, and left on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard into the South Street Station.

Transpo officials say the detours may change based on race traffic and riders may experience delays throughout the system.
