Traffic stop leads to passenger's arrest for drug, weapons charges

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- The Marshall County Sheriff's Department reports a deputy conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle around 2:30 a.m. Monday on US 30 near Oak Drive for exceeding the posted speed limit.

Authorities say during the investigation a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted.

The report states suspected marijuana along with several firearms were found inside the vehicle.

The passenger in the vehicle, identified as 21-year-old Sincier S. Hutchins of Fort Wayne, was found to be in possession of a stolen firearm and a firearm altered with a device commonly referred to as a "Glock Switch".

Hutchins was arrested and taken to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked for Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Possession of a Machine Gun Without a License, and Possession of Marijuana.

Hutchins was issued a $10,000 bond.
