Severe storms knocked out power to many across Kalamazoo County Tuesday. You can find destruction everywhere you look culminating in the FedEx facility on Portage Road in Portage, Michigan.
Remarkably, despite the damage, everyone is safe and accounted for. There have been no fatalities.
ABC57 spoke with a man who works nearby and sometimes uses this facility for his job, he said he’s devastated by the damage and says you can’t get complacent by thinking a tornado can’t happen to you.
"It happens in Ok, TX. It happened in Michigan. Mother Nature had different plans today," the man said.
Survey crews will be out Wednesday to try to determine how strong the winds were that blew through Michigan and caused so much destruction
