PORTLAND, Ore. -- A 14-month old in Portland managed to buy a car on-line.
The child was playing her parent's smart-phone and was unknowingly bidding on a car.
Last month, her dad received notice from eBay, congratulating him on his purchase of a gently used, 1962 Austin Healy Sprite for just over $200.
“She says Sorella bought a car, and I said yeah right, and she says no, Sorella bought a car on eBay and we have to buy it. And I was, OK,” said the girl’s grandmother Carlene Stenejhem.
The seller offered to contact other bidders but the family decided to keep that car, fix it up, and maybe even give it to her as a gift for her sweet-16.
