Thursday morning crash sends one car rolling, both drivers to Niles hospital

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- Cass County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Oak Grove Road and Pokagon Highway around 9 a.m. Thursday morning in LaGrange Township.
Authorities say the investigation showed that a vehicle driven by a 46-year-old Berrien Springs man was traveling west on Pokagon Hwy at the same time 24-year-old James Wozniak, of Niles, was driving north on Oak Grove.
Crash reports state Wozniak disregarded the stop sign at Oak Grove and Pokagon Hwy, causing Wozniak’s vehicle to T-bone the other vehicle, which came to rest in a yard on the west side of Oak Grove Road.
Wozniak's vehicle rolled multiple times before it came to a stop in the same yard.
Both drivers were transported by ambulance to Corewell Health, Lakeland Hospital in Niles for injuries sustained in the crash.
"Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash," authorities said. "Both drivers were wearing seatbelts."
