Three arrested in Marshall County for possessing, dealing meth

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- The Marshall County Drug Task Force executed several search warrants Friday morning, netting them three arrests at the Red Rock Inn and Economy Inn in Plymouth.

"During the operation officers recovered nearly 45 grams of methamphetamine, digital scales, narcotics packaging and other paraphernalia along with a handgun," authorities said. "Three individuals were arrested and taken to the Marshall County Jail."

Arrested:

  • Martha Spencer, 57, of Plymouth -- Possession of Methamphetamine and Maintaining a common nuisance, both level 6 felonies - $1,500 cash bond.
  • Chad Smith, 50, of Knox -- Dealing in Methamphetamine, level 2 felony - no bond.
  • Tiphani Bowen, 52, of Plymouth- Dealing in Methamphetamine, level 2 felony - no bond.

"Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed," authorities said. "They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made."
