SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- After losing the season opener to Ohio State, The Notre Dame Fighting Irish look to bounce back against the Marshall Thundering Herd.
After their loss to the Buckeyes, Notre Dame dropped to number eight in the Associated Press Poll Rankings.
The Irish now prepare to take on Marshall at home for what will be Marcus Freeman's first home game as the head coach.
"I'm very excited. You know, home opener is always exciting, you know, many reasons yet, year old student body or family in town, all that. So, it's exciting, you know, for the whole team, but then again, that's kind of the external stuff," said tight end Kevin Bauman. "And, you know, we're, we're focused on playing a football game Saturday. So, you know, that's, that's our house, that's our stadium, we dictate what happens there."
This will be the first ever meeting between Notre Dame and Marshall.
Kickoff is on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Notre Dame Stadium.
