Teenagers arrested after fight at West Side Middle School
ELKHART, Ind. – Two 13-year-olds were arrested on Tuesday following a fight at West Side Middle School, the Elkhart Police Department reported.
At 9:35 a.m., an officer went to the middle school after receiving a report of a fight that staff couldn’t break up.
The fight started in a hallway between two students but had been broken up by the time police arrived, reports said.
One of the students was taken into a classroom and the other student was allegedly repeatedly trying to push a staff member out of the way of the classroom door, reports said.
A 13-year-old juvenile was arrested for disorderly conduct and a 13-year-old juvenile male was arrested for disorderly conduct and battery.
Both students were taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.
