SYRACUSE, Ind.-- A woman in Kosciusko County was charged in connection to a fatal overdose back in May.

Forty-four-year-old, Stephany Satoski, faces four charges:

  • Possession of Methamphetamine, a Level 6 Felony
  • Maintaining a common nuisance-controlled substances, a Level 6 Felony
  • Possession of Marijuana, a Misdemeanor
  • Possession of Paraphernalia, a Misdemeanor

On May 20, the Nappanee Police Department received information that a man by the name of Robert Hogan had been selling methamphetamine and mushrooms in Kosciusko County.

While conducting surveillance on a home in North Webster on May 21, an NPD officer observed a North Webster Police Officer arrive on the scene, later learning the officer was responding to a 911 call.

The NPD officer spoke with Satoski, who said she let Hogan in the home that morning, around 5 a.m. or 5:30 a.m., before she drove to pick up her brother from Nappanee.

When Satoski and her brother arrived back at the house, her brother found Hogan deceased on the bed, at which point Satoski called 911.

After serving warrants to Satoski, police searched both her house and car.

Within the home, police found two syringes, a plunger that was presumed to test positive for fentanyl, a zip lock baggie with power residue that was presumed to be fentanyl and xylazine, and a marijuana plant.

In her car police found a digital scale with powder residue believed to be methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe with residue presumed to also be methamphetamine.
