Starke County face-to-face with severe weather
JONES, Mich. — Swiss Valley Ski and Snowboard area takes the weather into their own hands each year by crafting snow themselves. This year, they’ve gotten a big boost from Mother Nature, with 14-16 inches of snow falling in Jones, Michigan.
The natural base makes it easier for their mountain staff to pack manufactured snow, created by a series of fans and machines, onto the slopes.
Officials also say the snow generates excitement from customers in the area with the ski season fast approaching.
Swiss Valley opens for the year in the second weekend of December.
