Suspects in shots fired case arrested

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- Two 40-year-olds were arrested for Possession of Drugs on Sunday, Dec. 7 following a call of shots fired as a residence in the 13,000 block of 4th Road.

Around 9:41 p.m., Marshall County Police were dispatched to the address due to reports of a woman being shot at. When they arrived, officers identified two suspects, William Neiswender and Rhonda P. Harrington, inside an RV being the residence.

Neiswender and Harrington were called out of the RV, and the scene was secured, with no one having been injured from the gunfire.

Following a search warrant being granted by the court, officers found a hidden 20 gage shotgun, methamphetamine, cocaine, possible fentanyl, marijuana, other drug paraphernalia, and a small marijuana grow.

Both suspects were charged with Possession of Cocaine or Narcotic Drug as a Level 4 Felony, Obstruction of Justice as a Level 6 Felony, Possession of Cocaine or Narcotic Drug as a Level 6 Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine as a Level 6 Felony, Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe or Needle as a Level 6 Felony, Marijuana Cultivation as a Misdemeanor, Possession of Marijuana as a Misdemeanor, and Possession of Paraphernalia as a Misdemeanor.

Neiswender, a 49-year-old man, was additionally charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm as a Level 5 Felony.

Harrington, a 43-year-old woman, was additionally charged with Criminal Recklessness - Shooting a Firearm into Inhabited Structure as a Level 5 Felony, Pointing a Firearm as a Level 6 Felony, and Visiting a Common Nuisance as a Misdemeanor.

Both suspects were given $3,000 bonds.
