SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Police Department arrested a suspect, 20-year-old Desiree Peppers, on Tuesday for allegedly burglarizing a store on the 300 block of North Eddy Street on Monday.
Police say they were called to a business on North Eddy Street on Monday to investigate a burglary and retrieve surveillance video capturing the crime that occurred.
Upon review of the surveillance video evidence and additional investigation information, police say they were able to identify Peppers as the suspect who allegedly broke into the then-closed business before leaving with several items.
Officers have since been able to formally charge Peppers with burglary and have recovered the stolen items taken during Monday’s incident.
