STURGIS. Mich. -- The Sturgis Department of Public Safety reports officers responded to the 700 block of S. Centerville Road for an armed robbery around 6:45 p.m., Tuesday.

Officers on scene were informed that a white man wearing a mask and armed with a knife attempted to rob the clerk.

Authorities say the suspect did not obtain any cash and no one was injured.

The report states the suspect then left the parking lot in an SUV.

The incident remains under investigation.
