Studebaker National Museum Speaker Series to feature South Bend Bait Company

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- On June 17, at 1:30 p.m. the Studebaker National Museum will be hosting another event as a part of their Speaker Series in their Wiekamp Auditorium.

Join local historian Aaron Helman for an engaging presentation exploring the rise, success, and eventual decline of the company that helped put South Bend’s name on tackle boxes across the globe.

The presentation will trace the company’s origins, examine its impact on South Bend’s economy and identity, and highlight the colorful personalities who shaped its remarkable legacy. Along the way, attendees will discover stories of innovation, entrepreneurship, and the legendary fish tales that became part of the company’s lore. Admission is $2 or free for those who are Studebaker National Museum members and Campus members, refreshments will follow the presentation.
