Storm damages Miami County

PERU, Ind. -- Cars, trees, and even some structures are all over the ground in Peru after a storm ripped through Central Indiana.

Strong winds whipped through Miami County Wednesday afternoon.

Witnesses took shelter inside stores and watched helplessly as their cars were thrown around by the storm.

"All of a sudden the lights go out, stayed out and you couldn't see and you kind of heard like a train sound," said resident Bryce Duncan.

Police even put out a curfew last night while crews worked to get the power back on.

No serious injuries have been reported.
