ELKHART, Ind. -- The Salvation Army of Elkhart announced it's hosting its annual Christmas gala at the Lerner Theatre's Crystal Ballroom on Friday from 6 to 10 p.m.

Organizers say this year's theme is "Glimmer of Hope," pointing to the work done in providing encouragement and support to people and families in crisis.

Attendees can expect appetizers, a gourmet meal, drinks, and dancing.

Organizers invite local businesses and residents to support The Salvation Army’s mission of meeting human needs locally.

There will be a short program discussing Elkhart Salvation Army's mission and an acknowledgment of their partnership with Toys for Tots of Elkhart County.

Gala admission starts at $75.
