INDIANAPOLIS—The Indiana Department of Education on Friday announced this year's income-based eligibility guidelines for the free and reduced-price school meals and milk programs.

The following image shows the income level and household size to used determine eligibility. The guidelines will be in effect until June 30, 2020.

To apply for these benefits, households must complete an application.

For families who have notified schools of use of SNAP (food stamps), TANF and Medicaid, households will receive a letter stating their child is enrolled in free or reduced lunch. In this case, applications are not needed.
