St. Joseph County Public Library hosts National Voter Registration Day Event

SOUTH BEND, Ind.-- In celebration of National Voter Registration Day, St. Joseph County Public Library and the League of Women Voters of the South Bend Area will hold an event about voter rights on Sept. 17 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Main Library's Leighton Auditorium.

The event will include many civic leaders such as Dr. Darryl Heller, who is the director of the IU South Bend Civil Rights Heritage Center and an assistant professor of women’s and gender studies.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

-Register to vote on-site

-Learn about the importance of voter participation

-Engage in discussions about democracy, voter rights, and the impact of civic involvement

This event is free and open to all. No registration is required.
