SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Southold Dance Theater, a non-profit pre-professional ballet company in South Bend, invites the public to their Spring Showcase on Saturday, March 8 at Saint Mary’s College O’Laughlin Auditorium at 4 p.m.

Southold is celebrating its 50th anniversary season this year, and the Spring Showcase is just one of many celebratory performances.

"This showcase is an affordable, family-friendly experience with performances ranging from jazz, modern, neoclassical and classical ballet," said Sarah Taylor, Executive Director of Southold Dance Theater. “As we celebrate our 50th year, we're thrilled to share the incredible dance talent we have right here in our community!”

Officials with Southold say their goal has always been to promote artistic excellence and dance education throughout the Michiana area.

Tickets are $5 for adults and free admission for children under 18.

Southold's anniversary season includes a full-length production of The Sleeping Beauty May 23-25 at The Morris Performing Arts Center, a Summer Showcase at Chris Wilson Pavilion in Potawatomi Park on Aug. 9, and their annual production of The Nutcracker Dec. 5-7 at The Morris Performing Arts Center.
