South Shore Line preps for possible train delays from winter weather

Passengers planning on taking the South Shore Line on Friday should keep an eye on train schedules as severe winter weather could cause delays.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning effective from 9 p.m. Friday night through 6 a.m. Saturday morning.

Disruptions to service will be noted on the South Shore Line’s website, mobile app and through email or text.

The South Shore Line is still busing passengers between Gary and Dune Park.
