SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Ireland Road Walmart location has sectioned off parts of their parking lot Wednesday to keep drivers from hitting a series of potholes in the back section of the lot.
These barriers were not in place before ABC57 spoke with Walmart officials Wednesday afternoon.
ABC57 first learned of the potholes when a viewer reached out to share that the parking lot had become difficult to navigate because of the lot conditions.
Walmart was not able to answer ABC57 when asked whether or not they own the lot or are responsible for fixing it.
Walmart released the following statement: “Customer and associate safety is a top priority. We are aware of the customer concerns regarding the parking lot and are working diligently on repairs. We ask customers to avoid the marked-off areas in the meantime.”
