South Bend teen who shot himself facing criminal charges

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A 16-year-old who accidentally shot himself in the arm is now facing charges.

Police say the gun the teen had was stolen. He is facing four counts: possession of stolen property, possession of firearm without a license, criminal recklessness, and resisting law enforcement.

Police say the bullet only grazed the teen. The incident happened outside of the Century Center, during a celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
