South Bend residents find possible WWII explosives, calls SBPD bomb squad Monday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Police Department's Bomb Squad was activated Monday morning to check on what residents of the home in the 600 block of Donmoyer Avenue believed to be WWII explosives.

The call came in around 9:50 a.m. on June 10, and upon arrival at the scene, officers spoke with individuals who said they were cleaning out the property when they located what they believed to be WWII explosive devices.

The South Bend Police Department's Bomb Squad determined the devices were not live.
