Notre Dame versus Navy kickoff preview
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Two people are dead in an apparent homicide-suicide stabbing on Kessler Boulevard Wednesday morning, according to the South Bend Police Department.
At 6:40 a.m., police were called to a home in the 1700 block of Kessler.
When officers arrived, they found a man and woman suffering from apparent stab wounds.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Their autopsies are scheduled for Thursday.
Several juveniles were at the home at the time but were not injured.
The South Bend Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit continues to investigate.
Out of respect for the family, police do not plan on releasing additional information on this incident.
