South Bend Police chief responds to photos of patrol car shared on social media

SOUTH BEND, Ind.—Photos surfaced on social media on Wednesday showing a laptop in a South Bend Police patrol car that appeared to be logged into Netflix.

On Thursday, South Bend Police Chief Scott Ruszkowski released the following statement regarding the photos:

“At this point, we are not going to jump to conclusions. There are many different situations that could be happening here. This officer could be off-duty, on a break, part-time job, etc... We are doing an inquiry into this.”

The photos of the empty patrol car were taken at a gas station, according to the Facebook post.
