SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend and its mayor, James Mueller, are one of 24 pairs of cities and mayors to win the Bloomberg Philanthropies Mayors Challenge for 2026.
As a winner, each city will receive $1 million alongside expert support and additional funding to assist with projects to benefit the city.
South Bend Mayor Mueller says the city uses AI to catch problems before they grow and assist Hoosier families.
