Police continue investigation into shots fired at Eddy Street Commons

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Police Department reports, alongside the Notre Dame Police Department, is continuing to investigate the disturbance/shots fired which occurred Saturday night at Eddy Street Commons.

Police have also released evidence photos.

SBPD's Violent Crimes Unit is also investigating the shots fired.

On Saturday, officers responded to Eddy Street Commons around 10 p.m. for a large disturbance and shots fired.

As of Monday afternoon, authorities say no injuries have been reported from the incident.

The initial investigation found a total of five vehicles and two apartments sustained damage from apparent gunfire.

Police say at least two people were detained during the initial response, but no arrests have been made at this time.

Hundreds of people were in the area when the shots were fired, and police are still asking anyone with information about this incident to call the Detective Bureau at 574-235-9263.
