Michiana celebrates Mexican Independence Day
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- 53-year-old South Bend native John Ivory Winston was arrested Sept. 9, in connection to a scheme to conspire to commit bank fraud.
Winston was charged with one count of Bank Fraud, after allegedly opening multiple business accounts under a sham entity and presenting stolen business checks for deposit.
Winston is accused of stealing approximately $479,786.63 from Great Southern Bank and is being held at the St. Joseph County Jail.
