South Bend Cubs not affected by Major League lockout

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The South Bend Cubs 2022 season will not be affected by Major League Baseball’s lockout and shortened season, the Minor League team announced Tuesday.

Despite MLB postponing Opening Day, the South Bend Cubs’ season will go on as planned, with Opening Day scheduled for April 8 at Four Winds Field.

The South Bend Cubs will play a 132-game season.

Players who aren’t on the Chicago Cubs 40-man roster and are not signed to a Major League contract are not affected.

Single-game tickets for the South Bend Cubs’ 2022 season go on sale at noon on March 9.
