South Bend Big Lots set to close, third local store to shutter doors

Big Lots! SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- After the once-popular retail chain Big Lots filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy back in September, a steady stream of locations have been added to the list of closing stores recently.
It was announced in August that stores in Elkhart and Warsaw would be closing, and now it was announced today that the South Bend location at 1911 E Ireland Rd. will be holding a "Store Closing" sale.
This is part of the company's plans to close roughly 340 stores nationwide.
