Snow or wintry mix Tuesday morning turns to rain by afternoon

NOW: Snow or wintry mix Tuesday morning turns to rain by afternoon
NEXT:

This morning precipitation starts after 6 a.m. Initially, it will be falling as snowflakes or a wintry mix. The biggest impact for your morning will likely be visibility if you are driving through snow. Take it slow and leave plenty of room between you and the car in front of you as you’re driving. Snow seems to be sticking in the grass, trees, and rooftops. Minor accumulations in the roads are possible along with some slick spots on the roads this morning.

As temperatures warm, the precipitation will turn to rain. Southern counties will see the switch to rain or a wintry mix first, followed later by our northern counties. This is going to help melt this morning's snow. Showers become more isolated this afternoon and evening, then pick up again overnight. Temperatures are in the mid 40s by afternoon, and will stay steady or continue to climb through the overnight hours.

Wednesday is another rainy day with temperatures in the mid 50s. Thanksgiving looks mostly cloudy but dry. Friday through the weekend look mostly dry with temperatures near 50. Rain is back in the forecast starting later Sunday evening.

Today: Snow, then rain showers. Breezy. High 44.

Tonight: Rain showers. Temperatures steady in the low 40s.

Wednesday: Rainy. High 54.

Thanksgiving Day: Mostly cloudy. High 52.
