Smoke Free St. Joe hosting free event on dangers of tobacco Nov. 21

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Smoke Free St. Joe, in partnership with the American Cancer Society and TJ21 Media, is inviting the community to a free event, “Are You the Target?” on Thursday, Nov. 21, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the St. Joseph Public Library, Main Branch, Ballroom B.

The event will feature findings from the Retail Store Assessment Project, which highlights local tobacco marketing practices. A panel discussion will follow, featuring speakers from populations that are considered to be often targeted by the tobacco industry.

The event will also be streamed live on Facebook for those unable to attend in person.
